Shannon Haragan, MA, MFA, LPC-S
Although Shannon's approach to counseling draws from a variety of therapeutic models and techniques, all are rooted in the fundamental principles of non-judgmental acceptance, authenticity and experience. Her ultimate goal as a therapist is to help you develop knowledge and tools that will facilitate sustained growth long after therapy has ended.
Shannon works with adults and older teens on issues such as trauma/PTSD (EMDR therapist), anxiety, stress management, and codependency/boundary issues. Additionally, she has a special interest in providing support to families of individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. Having an arts and teaching background, she also enjoys working with performers and other creatives on issues of stage fright and peak performance.
Inclusiveness and cultural competency are strongly held values in her practice. All are welcome regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identification or expression. In addition to traditional in-office therapy, Shannon also offers HIPAA-compliant teletherapy to individuals located anywhere in Texas.
